Slutty Vegan Founder Pinky Cole Hit With $87K Lawsuit Over Unpaid Rent

Aisha “Pinky” Cole, the founder of Atlanta-based restaurant chain Slutty Vegan, is facing a new legal challenge. A lawsuit filed this month claims Cole owes more than $87,000 in back rent and fees for two Edgewood Avenue locations.

According to court filings, the landlord, Asana Partners, alleges that Cole’s companies failed to pay rent on both the Slutty Vegan Edgewood location and her brunch concept, The Morning After. The complaint states she owes $87,312.65, with additional rent accumulating at a rate of more than $13,600 per month until the balance is paid.

The lawsuit comes just months after Cole’s high-profile financial restructuring earlier this year. In February, she relinquished control of her business in an assignment for the benefit of creditors, a move similar to bankruptcy but without the legal protections against ongoing lawsuits. In March, she regained ownership under a new company, Ain’t Nobody Coming to See You, Otis LLC, and has continued to operate five Slutty Vegan locations in Georgia.

Cole, who launched Slutty Vegan in 2018 from a food truck before rapidly expanding to multiple states, has faced mounting financial scrutiny in recent months. Other lawsuits filed in Maryland and New York also allege unpaid rent and credit card debt tied to her restaurant operations.

Despite these challenges, Cole has been making moves to expand her personal brand beyond the food industry. She is reportedly planning to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which would place her in front of a national television audience and potentially open new opportunities for visibility and growth.

Slutty Vegan locations remain open, and the brand continues to hold strong recognition as one of Atlanta’s most talked-about food concepts. Cole, who has built her reputation on entrepreneurship, empowerment, and community impact, has not yet issued a public response to the latest lawsuit.

The case underscores the pressures faced by fast-growing restaurant chains during expansion — and how Cole balances financial and legal hurdles while preparing to step into the world of reality television.
